When the quantum surge physically upgraded Waspinator into a Transmetal, his personality remained the same. Waspinator exchanged blasts with Cheetor before Megatron initiated the lab's self-destruct mechanism, at which point the Predacons retreated. When the Maximals located the Predacons' genetics lab, Waspinator was present along with Megatron and Tarantulas to fend them off. Waspinator's not the brightest 'bot in the Beast Wars. Disturbingly, Rattrap has taken to collecting his severed components. He has been blasted, burned, shot down, torn up, crushed, slashed, smashed, bashed, and otherwise reduced to his component parts times beyond counting. If something blows up, he's usually at the epicenter of the explosion. If something goes wrong, it happens to him.
Waspinator (aka Wasp, Thrustinator, or Waspscream) is the universe's whipping boy.
